Card of the Month: July

July is… HOT. At least here in Nashville! We’re doing everything we can to cool off and enjoy family time while school’s out. We’re also prepping for trade show season! Things are busy, but we’re making time for quality time.

This month’s Card of the Month seemed fitting: Collect Moments, Not Things from our Heartward Collection.

This card sums up summer. Moments. Making memories. Taking trips. Playing outside until daark. It’s what we’re all about.

Collect Moments Not Things
$5.00

Our Heartward collection is all about encouraging loving-kindness and leading with your heart. See more here.

This card is a perfect “just because” card and a great reminder to send to anyone and everyone in your life.

Remember: Write More Love Notes.

Happy Summer!

XOXO,

Breathless Paper Co.

#BeBreathless

We love cards for a lot of reasons, but one of the best and most important reasons is because of the reminder they serve. No matter where you are, who you're with or what you're doing, you can carry that card with you, gaze at it, and remember the person who gave it to you and why. For a second, no matter what, you can escape to that moment.

That's why we're inspired to begin our #BeBreathless series and contest. When we were in New York for the NY NOW trade show, we snapped a pic of one of our cards while out and about in the city (see below), and we thought, "wow, we'd love to see where our customers end up taking our cards, and what cool places they go to."

#BeBreathless-2.jpg

That's what #BeBreathless is all about. We want you to show us where and to who our cards travel to! Snap pics like the one you see below (or in whatever style you want!), post on Instagram and hashtag #BeBreathless, tag @BreathlessPaper, and be entered to win $500 worth of cards to gift to your loved ones or keep for yourself.

The contest will run through the end of FEBRUARY 2018 with the winner announced on social media. Check out our Instagram where we'll feature entries and announce the winner.

We want to encourage you to give, share, and #BeBreathless.

Old Try Collaboration

Collaborating with other makers is one of my favorite things about being in this industry. Recently, we got together with one of our favorite companies, Old Try, to create some amazing (if we do say so ourselves) cards inspired by the South that we love so much.

By putting our talents together, we've created this line of cards that glorifies the "new south" and all of its corners and crevices. Plus, they're so pretty you may just want to frame one and stare at it.

Wholesalers - contact me to place an order! Everyone else, check out your local boutiques to purchase a card, and keep your eyes peeled for an announcement on the next place you can buy ;)

Trade Show Recap: From ATL to NY

As summer comes to an end, so does the summer trade show season. We’ve been from the south to the north at shows in Atlanta and New York City.

Trade shows are hard work, but they’re so worth it. We’re excited to share with you some highlights from our time in both cities.

We had such a blast showing off our classic designs and our newest creations (that we're totally head over heels for). Not to mention, we got to meet tons of retailers and amazing makers from across the country. But just because this trade show season is over, doesn't mean you can't get your orders in, too! Happy Dad's Day from Breathless Paper!

It’s no secret that Breathless Paper Co. is all about celebrating. Our cards revolve around amplifying even the littlest of moments and making them into celebrations of life. Family is one of the things we emphasize most; it comes first.

With Father’s Day upon us, it’s time to highlight dads, what makes them extra-special, and how we can show them just how important they are. Our rockstar Breathless Paper dad, Matthew Berinato, is the most generous and kind-loving father. He puts his children first one hundred percent of the time, whilst designing Breathless greeting cards and products, and laughing all the while. Yeah, he does a lot.

Without a doubt, you probably know one or two kick-butt dads who also do a lot. We’ve got some ideas on how to show them you care:

We’re all busy, so chances are that quality time with dad is the most valuable gift. If you want a place to maximize dad-time, try this:

Top Golf, Midtown Atlanta or Alpharetta: Whether dad is a golf fanatic or barely a fan, Top Golf puts all the fun of playing sports with dad into one family-friendly experience for various skill levels. One experience with tons of ways to play, a KidZone, and “grown-up” drinks. Or, give dad a gift card and he can go have some “quality time” of his own.

Write dad a note in this card…

Sometimes, a night on the town is what it takes to let loose after a long day/week/month/year’s worth of hard dad-work. Here’s a way for dad to have a night out that’s the perfect balance of relaxed and fun, from one of Atlanta’s up-and-coming hangouts:

City Winery: A new addition to the Ponce City Market area, City Winery is exactly what it sounds like and more. The winery has a line-up of concerts these summer months, and they’re the perfect way to enjoy a classy, music-filled evening. This is for the “wine over beer” kind of dad. Bonus! They even have winemaking classes. Yeah. Best gift ever.

Some notable upcoming shows:

June 19 (Dad’s Day!): Todd Snider with Rorey Carroll

June 24: Carl Verheyen Band & Andy McKee

June 29: The Weepies

July 3: Don McLean

(And tons more! Visit CityWinery.com for more details!)

For the dad that isn’t “wine over beer” Atlanta is filled with top-notch breweries to tour and brews to taste. Take dad and let him take his time being handed some of the best beers in Atlanta and the southeast. See our recommendations below!

Orpheus Brewing: Orpheus Brewing overlooks Piedmont Park and the Beltline. That’s hard to beat. Noted for their artisan packaging and off-the-wall beer names, the year round offerings plus “Bone Tablet” IPAs, sours and limited addition brews will not disappoint. Faves: Transmigration & Serpent Bite

Second Self Beer Company: Second Self is a beer company characterized by brews that pair well with foods and experiences. A company led by two foodies, if dad’s all about having the perfect beer with lunch or dinner, this is for him. Faves: Thai Wheat

Monday Night Brewing: Monday Night is becoming an Atlanta staple. The iconic “man with fit in air” logo is the company’s claim-to-fame, and if you or dad doesn’t think they’ve heard of Monday Night, you’ve probably seen the colorful cans around. Does “Weekends Are Overrated” ring a bell? Faves: Eye Patch Ale & Slap Fight.

Whatever way you celebrate, do so with joy. Happy Father's Day from our family to yours!
